Hey, just wondered if anyone could help me. Why can't I download maps straight to the Eets directory. My computer won't recognise the eets. file and I'm guessing I'll have to do it manually. It says I should just be able to open it. I've reinstalled but it didn't make any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Very Happy

Make sure .eet and .etr files are associated with Eets.exe and not any other program.

The quickest (but not particularily proper) way to do it would be to find a .eet file, right-click on it (left-click if you use a left-handed house), click on "Open With" and select "Choose Program."
Then select Eets and check "Always use this program for opening this type of file."
Repeat for .etr files and you're all set.

I've tried that, but now it's just coming up with the message:

'The application has failed to start because steam.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem'

I've reinstalled it twice and I still can't download puzzles, it's quite frustrating as I've payed money for the game and playing other people's puzzles is half the fun so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

thanks.

Aaaaah, you got it from Steam?

Let's see. Your best bet at this point would be to Google 'steam.dll' and find somewhere to download it, then drop it in the Eets folder.

yeah, apologies, should have made that clear.

Think the problems sorted now though, I just save the files to my computer into the Eets folder and I can play them fine.

Is this a common problem when downloading through steam?

I don't think so, no. But Steam is infamous for the exotic and weird issues many people have with it.
